Step 1. Use CLEAN rag to clean tank with isopropyl alcohol, or soap and water. Click Images to Enlarge !

Step 2. It is best to apply the black tar sealant compound when the temperature of the sealant is about 70 degrees or warmer. It works better when the compound is warmer than when it is cold. Heat up compound in a warm environment so that it is soft and gooey before you apply. DO NOT APPLY COLD! IT WON'T WORK.

Apply sealant vigorously with firm pressure from your thumb over and over again, repeatedly. Work the black tar sealant into the surface, get the tar gummy and gooey while applying firm pressure with your thumb, over and over, and over again! Your fingers should be covered in tar! Or else you may not be applying the pressure properly.

Slow small drips can reappear, if this happens keep on reworking the black tar into the tank until they stop.

Step 3. Cut repair patch about 3in x 3in for smaller hole, use bigger patch for bigger hole. Cover black tar with patch, work and massage patch over and over and over again to apply properly.
